COVID-19 Outbreak Management Tools – Free Pink Alerts
Pink Alerts are designed to form part of an overall Pandemic Management Plan.
- The Pink Alerts augment, not substitute, your pandemic management plans.
There are individual Pink Alerts for all key roles: Manager, Care Manager, RNs, Residential Activities Officers, Care Staff, Admin, Kitchen, Cleaning, Laundry, and Maintenance.
- Pink Alerts should be printed in the event of an outbreak – ideally on pink paper so they are distinctive and staff immediately recognise them.
We strongly encourage Providers to run mock outbreak training exercises using the Pink Alerts so staff are familiar with them, better understand their accountabilities, and to tailor the Pink Alerts to your specific operating environments and needs.
